I need some help. In addition to this page, we also maintain a website.
The website has developed some glitches. It is an old program that no longer offers any support.
I need suggestions for a totally free website building program without popup ads.
We have a free host, we just need a new program.
Please send your suggestions to our Email address.: [email protected]
Thanks.

We still have the maps from the TM book and never used dust jackets. The maps are uncut versions of what was used in the book. One features Milwaukee Streetcar lines. The other features the Interurban Routes. Each measures 16 1/2 x 22 inches. Facebook won't let us state prices, etc. If interested, for prices, drop us a note: TWERHS - PO Box 1926 - Milwaukee, WI 53201 or Email [email protected]

For my 70th birthday my daughter surprised me with a charter at the East Troy Railroad Museum. Due to the virus and short planning only close family and a few friends were able to join us. A special treat was riding former Milwaukee streetcar 846. I grew up riding these cars, and was not quite 8 when they quit. I also rode the North Shore Line to Chicago until that quit when I was 13. In the 1970's I joined the East Troy Trolley Museum and operated NSL cars until it closed in 1984. It had been 35 years since I operated a trolley. The ride on car 846 would have been great by itself, but the icing on the cake was knowing that I had previous experience, I was allowed to operate car 846. Thanks to the crew at ETRM, especially Jim and Dustin, that went out of their way to make that day memorable.

We were sent the following via email I think everyone might enjoy it.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 30, 2020

"TMER&L: The Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company" was broadcast on March 3, 1977, as part of the Student Workshop Series on Milwaukee's PBS station, WMVT Channel 36. Live! No stopping! No editing! An intimidating proposition for first-time, 20 year-old, producer/director, Greg Rutchik. A half-hour before the show was to go "live," Greg received a phone call from a stage-fright stricken host. No host?! No problem! Hand the production notes to fellow student and production assistant, Fran Dietz (Fran Murphy). "You're on! Good luck!" Instructor/advisor, Dave Baule, was unaware of the drama just minutes before airing. Thanks to Fran, members of the East Troy Trolley Museum and the crew for keeping it together. Awarded "Best TV Workshop Program 1977."

After much consideration, I have decided to open a page for TWERHS. This allows posting of current events and news, as well as being able to share info and photos, easier and quicker than on our website. The website remains as a source for the bulk of additional information, photos, etc. I couldn't decide whether a "Page" or "Group" would be best. We are trying "Page" first, and we will see how it works.
