She is truly dedicated to the department and loves serving the Michigan City Community!

What an Excellent Day at the MCAS Transportation Departmental Meeting!

We were graced to have Superintendent Dr. Wendel McCollum open the meeting and share with our team.

Dr. McCollum expressed his appreciation for our staff and placed great value on what we do.

It was a day of casting vision, building a healthy culture, and highlighting the way forward.

As a department, we have made a deliberate decision to provide a safe transport everyday for our children and make a positive impact on every community member that we come in contact with.

We have a team of Leaders who have accepted the challenge to be drivers and monitors who make a difference and care deeply about the responsibility of what we do on a daily basis.

Our meeting was themed, “The Way Forward Together”. A declaration of our commitment to growth and to serve our Community!

It was a very good day!!!

Our dedicated Transportation Team Mechanics are led by Foreman David Loraff.

Mr. Loraff cuts no corners because he knows the importance of a properly maintained fleet that will transport Michigan City Area Schools most important commodity….. “Our Youth!”

Mr. Loraff along with Assistant Foreman Steve Smith, Jacob Miller, and Davian Sanchez are great assets to the Transportation Department and bring a wealth of experience and pride to our safety protocols!

We appreciate all that they do!!!

This quick update helps ensure we have the most current contact information, medical information, permissions, and transportation needs on file before the new school year begins.

Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account and select Annual Information Update from the left navigation menu.
