PORTMIAMI UPDATE — OCTOBER 16, 2026

Sharing my photos from the area near Terminals A and AA today. A sheriff’s vehicle, a taxi and a screened-off area are visible in one of the photos.

I received an unconfirmed report that a taxi driver was fatally struck by another vehicle. I have not independently verified the reported death or the circumstances.

The official traffic log confirms a traffic accident was reported at Terminal AA, 2200 N. Cruise Boulevard.

Please follow instructions from personnel at the port and leave access clear for responders. My thoughts are with everyone affected.

Please keep comments respectful and avoid posting names or assigning blame without verified information.

I need your honest feedback on this one. 🚢👀

The original picture behind this logo idea is a photo I took almost 20 years ago.

That’s crazy to even say.

It’s me sitting by the water, looking toward the port, the skyline, and the city — long before Port Miami Guy became what it is today.

Now my sister is helping me look at this from a more official logo / brand direction, and we’re trying to see what feels right.

The idea is simple:

Port Miami.
The water.
The skyline.
The port cranes.
The backpack.
The kid / man looking toward the future.
The same city I grew up in.
The same port I used to come around as a kid.
And now the same place I’m building something around.

So I want to hear from you.

Which version feels more like Port Miami Guy?

Which one looks more official?
Which one feels more memorable?
Which one would look better on merch, shirts, stickers, hats, videos, website branding, or profile pictures?
Which one should we keep working on?

I’m genuinely asking because this page has grown because of y’all.

We’re getting close to 10,000 followers in a little over 3 months, and I don’t take that lightly at all.

Every follow, like, share, comment, live, question, booking, message, and piece of support has helped turn this into something bigger than I expected this fast.

So thank you.

Seriously.

I’m grateful for everybody who has been part of this journey.

Port Miami Guy started as me showing the port from the ground, helping cruisers, drivers, families, and first-time visitors understand what they’re walking into.

Now it’s becoming a brand.

A guide.

A system.

A community.

And hopefully something that keeps growing with purpose. 🚢💙

No. 1: Effectively immediately, has ceased operations companywide. All flights to and from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and across its network are canceled. If you have a ticket booked on Spirit, the airline is advising travelers not to go to the airport and has provided guidance on its website regarding refunds or rebooking. Visit www.spirit.com for more information. Several airlines have also offered to assist impacted travelers with alternative travel arrangements, where possible. (Updated: 05/02/2026, 4AM)

Spirit Airlines ceased operations on May 2, at 3 a.m.

We understand this news may be frustrating and disruptive for many travelers.

Big update for this page. 🚐🌴
This page is now being updated under PMG Solutions — Port Miami Guy Solutions.
I originally established this page about a year and a half ago, and now I’m organizing it into something cleaner, more useful, and more aligned with where everything is going.
A few things to know:
I’m no longer driving weekends for MJS Transportation, but there is no bad blood on my end. I’m still here to support, assist, and help where it makes sense.
This page will now focus more on PortMiami transportation information, cruise logistics, route updates, pickup/drop-off guidance, private ride options, shared ride opportunities, and real South Florida movement.
I’m also working on building and testing new route ideas to better serve people traveling between PortMiami, FLL, MIA, hotels, and surrounding areas.
The goal is simple:
Make things easier, clearer, and more organized for passengers, operators, drivers, and anyone moving through the cruise transportation world.
If you’ve followed the journey so far, I appreciate you.
The next chapter is about structure, trust, better communication, and building something useful.
