Philip & Patricia Frost Art Museum — FIU at Florida International University and WTDC employees came together for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We honor those undergoing treatment, celebrate survivors, and remember those we have lost. About one in eight U.S. women will develop breast cancer.

WTDC presented our Community Partner Appreciation Award to Frost Art Museum Director Miriam Machado, who was joined by her husband, Dr. Ricardo Machado. The Frost Art Museum welcomes your support for the 15th Annual Breast Health Initiative Art Show, “Strength in All Shades,” on Friday, October 23, at 6:00 p.m. at FIU. The event will promote breast-health awareness through art, education, and advocacy. For every $100 raised, one woman will receive a free mammogram.

WTDC will continue supporting Breast Cancer Awareness by participating in the MIA Runway 5K on October 17.

The Gazitua Family and WTDC are proud to present our October 2026 Community Partner Appreciation Award to Miriam Machado, Director of the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University. Miriam’s dedication to advancing arts, culture, and education has helped connect and inspire the South Florida community through the transformative power of the arts.

We are honored to recognize Miriam’s leadership, service, and commitment to making the arts accessible and meaningful throughout our community. We encourage our friends and partners to share and support this important initiative. Congratulations, Miriam!

The 15th Annual Breast Health Initiative Art Show, “Strength in All Shades,” will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Florida International University. Presented in collaboration with the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at FIU, this special evening of art, awareness, and action will feature an art auction with works contributed by participating artists.

The program will include exhibitions focused on health and healing, educational sessions on breast health and early detection, and opportunities to connect with survivors, advocates, and healthcare professionals. For every $100 raised, one woman will receive a free mammogram, helping expand access to potentially life-saving early detection services.

WTDC was pleased to join the International Business Honor Society (IBHS) at FIU for its recent meeting. Our President & CEO, Sean Gazitúa spoke with students about WTDC’s work in global logistics and Foreign Trade Zone warehousing, changes shaping the logistics industry, technology and AI, career growth, leadership, and the values that guide our workplace culture.

We were also proud to offer two scholarships to IBHS students and continue our support of FIU’s Bandhwari Women’s Project for the 10th year. We shared internship opportunities with students as well. Since launching our internship program in 2009, WTDC has welcomed over 116 interns.

Thank you to IBHS for the invitation and to the students for their thoughtful questions and conversation. We enjoyed connecting with the next generation of business leaders.

Two Big Red Buses. One community coming together to make a difference.

Yesterday, WTDC partnered with OneBlood to host a blood drive, with two Big Red Buses on-site—one dedicated to platelet donations and the other to blood donations. The OneBlood team shared that it was one of their most successful drives!

Thank you to our employees, customers, WTDC employee alumni, and neighbors who took the time to donate. Your generosity made this day possible and demonstrated the strength of our community.
