🚛 Dispatch Lesson #2

One of the biggest mistakes an owner operator can make is focusing only on the rate.

A $2,500 load isn’t always better than a $1,800 load.

Before booking freight, ask yourself:

✅ How many deadhead miles will I drive?
✅ Is the broker reliable?
✅ Will this position me for another good load?
✅ What’s my actual profit after fuel and expenses?

A professional dispatcher doesn’t just book loads…

They help build a profitable business.

💬 Owner Operators:

What’s the first thing you check before accepting a load?

Let’s discuss in the comments. 👇

📈 Freight Market Wednesday

A dispatcher’s job isn’t to find the first load…

It’s to find the RIGHT load.

Before booking freight, we ask:

✅ Does it reduce deadhead?

✅ Does it position the truck for the next load?

✅ Is the broker reliable?

✅ Is it profitable after fuel and expenses?

Smart dispatching isn’t about staying busy…

It’s about staying profitable.

💬 Owner Operators:

What’s the first thing you look at before accepting a load?

🚛 The Cheapest Dispatcher Isn’t Always the Best Choice.

Every dispatcher can find loads.

But a great dispatcher also helps you:

✅ Plan your routes strategically.
✅ Reduce deadhead miles.
✅ Negotiate better rates.
✅ Keep your truck moving.
✅ Communicate with brokers.
✅ Save you time so you can focus on driving.

Choosing a dispatcher isn’t about paying the lowest percentage…

It’s about choosing someone who helps your business grow.
