Why we run loads in 20”LT
The Physical Benefits of LT TiresRunning LT tires on a 6-inch lift gives you a massive safety and stability advantage over oversized off-road tires
Stiffer Sidewalls: Standard passenger tires flex and squirm under a heavy load. LT tires have high load ranges (usually Load Range E), meaning their sidewalls resist flexing. This significantly reduces the scary "sideways swaying" feeling when you load the truck bed.
Higher Inflation Pressures: LT tires can be safely inflated to higher pressures (often up to 80 PSI, Running them at a higher pressure when hauling keeps the tire footprint stable and prevents over-heating under load.
Better Braking Control: Because your tires are not excessively wide or heavy, your factory brakes do not have to fight massive rotational leverage. Your stopping distances will be much shorter and safer under load compared to a truck on 35s
