On International Friendship Day, we celebrated our friendly relationship with Maritime Partners, LLC U.S. Marine Management with a new three-year deal for the officers on the tanker Shenandoah Trader in the Maritime Administration - MARAD Tanker Security Program.

Today, we christened the M/V Ann Nash, named in honor of Ann Nash, mother of longtime Maritime Partners employee Jack Nash and aunt of our CEO, Bick Brooks.

Ann traveled in from Georgia, and her daughter came all the way from Hawaii, to celebrate a vessel that carries her name into the fleet.

It was a fitting tribute to the family ties that have long been part of this company's story. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this special occasion.

We're thankful for the leadership of Congressman Steve Scalise and the 51 other House Republicans who signed this letter urging that the Jones Act waivers be allowed to expire as scheduled.
The Jones Act protects American maritime jobs and national security by ensuring cargo moved between U.S. ports is carried on American-built, owned, and crewed vessels. Continued waivers risk opening the door to foreign-flagged vessels operating in coastal trade, undermining the industry this law was built to protect.
