Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified professional to take on a dual role that encompasses both business and logistics operations management. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can identify new business opportunities, and simultaneously oversee the intricate details of day-to-day trucking operations.
Qualification Requirements:
· Strong independent working spirit with the ability to be flexible and part of growing, empowered teams.
· Dispatch and communicate with customers 24/7 regarding driver locations and timing
· Conduct market research, run analyses on competitors, pricing, and customer buying preferences/habits.
· Self-driven and organized with a keen sense of delivering completed projects in a timely manner.
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (including creating reports, formulas, charts, and graphs), and PowerPoint.
· Experience with sales and data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
· Proven ability to plan and manage resources.
· Strong knowledge of roadways throughout the immediate area and beyond.
· Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional, courteous telephone manner.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
· Ability to cultivate relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
· Familiarity with two-way truck radio systems and load booking websites.
· Knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and EPA guidelines.
