When LOST IN with DJ BBQ came to town, the McAlester Tourism page gave followers a behind-the-scenes look as the crew spent several days filming throughout the community.
During filming week, content from the McAlester Tourism page reached more than 560,000 people.🙌
Those posts gave people an early look at the production while it was in town — and soon, we’ll get to see the finished episode.
But filming week also gave McAlester something we hadn’t experienced on that scale before: a firsthand look at what it takes to host a professional production.
Local businesses, community partners and staff got a chance to see the schedules, location coordination, equipment, repeated takes and behind-the-scenes work that goes into filming.
That experience is especially valuable as McAlester Tourism continues its work toward Oklahoma Film Friendly Community certification and prepares for future opportunities to welcome film and television productions.🎥
