✈️ A Legendary Visit at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport!

Today was one for the history books! We had the incredible honor of welcoming three iconic P-51 Mustangs as they touched down for a fuel stop. These legendary warbirds, known for their power and role in WWII, turned heads and brought a wave of excitement across the airfield.

From the unmistakable roar of their engines to their sleek, polished designs, it was a sight (and sound!) we won’t soon forget. Moments like this remind us just how special aviation history truly is.

If you happened to catch them on the ground or in the skies above, you witnessed something truly rare and unforgettable!

🚁 Take a look at these three medical helicopters with Cape Fear Valley Mobile Integrated Healthcare that landed together at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport!

✈️ Last week, Laurinburg-Maxton Airport was proud to be represented at the North Carolina Airports Association Conference in Charlotte!

Several members of the Airport Authority and staff attended this great event, where they had the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in aviation technology and connect with fellow airport directors and managers from across the state.

We’re excited to bring back new ideas and insights that will help us continue improving KMEB and serving our community even better. Stay tuned as we keep moving forward!

✈️ Meet Our Team!

Help us congratulate Cruz Titus, our Lead Line Technician here at Laurinburg–Maxton Airport! Cruz has been part of our team since November 2023, starting as a line technician and recently earning a well-deserved promotion to Lead Line Tech thanks to his hard work and dedication.

Fun fact: Cruz’s favorite aircraft is the Piper PA-18 Super Cub.

✈️ Exciting Progress at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport! ✈️

We’re excited to share updates on the progress happening here at KMEB! Construction on our new terminal building and t-hangars is moving along great, and we’re making steady progress every day.

These improvements will help us better serve pilots, aircraft owners, and visitors while continuing to grow and enhance operations at the airport. It’s exciting to watch the transformation take shape, and we’re looking forward to seeing these projects completed in the near future.

Laurinburg-Maxton Airport was excited to welcome two impressive visitors to the ramp — the sleek Cessna Citation CJ2 and the versatile CASA C-235! ✈️

Both aircraft stopped in to fuel up, and we’re always proud to support a wide range of aviation — from business jets to military and transport operations.

Fun Facts:
🔹 The Citation CJ2 is a light business jet known for its efficiency and performance. It can cruise at around 460 mph and has a range of roughly 1,500 nautical miles — making it a favorite for quick, comfortable executive travel.

🔹 The CASA C-235 is a medium-range transport aircraft originally developed in Spain. It’s designed for short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities and can operate from shorter runways — making it incredibly versatile for cargo, troop transport, and maritime patrol missions around the world.

Everyone at Laurinburg-Maxton Airport is excited to welcome the incredible United Staes Army Parachute Team back to our airport for their routine jumping operations!

We’re proud to once again work alongside this elite team and look forward to seeing the amazing precision, teamwork, and skill that make their jumps so impressive. There’s nothing quite like watching those parachutes open up over KMEB!

Fun fact: The Golden Knights have been wowing audiences since 1959 and perform thousands of jumps each year, showcasing the professionalism and excellence of the U.S. Army.
