Hi everyone! I'm sure most of you have been wondering where is the roux. It is with a very heavy heart I am shutting down my roux business. I have been procrastinating the inevitable because this was my baby, my creation. With grocery prices and shipping sky rocketing, it is just not feasible to keep it going. I have enjoyed helping all of you eat Cajun food for the last 7 years, hearing all the stories of people who it has helped and the many faces I have met. To Vitamins Plus, Fresh Pickins and Red Stick Spice Co. Thank you for your support over the years! I couldn't have kept it going without you!

I have a friend that is putting a Paleo friendly roux out on the market. Her entire kitchen is GF. I will get the information as to where to get it and will post it.

What ya'll cooking? A little inspiration. Super easy!

Make seasoned Ground meat patties, brown both sides. Add a little onion. Scrape bottom of pan, add 2 tbs of corn roux stir, add a cup or cup 1/2 of chicken stock, cover and let it simmer on low for 15 mins. Flip meat once. Should be a thick enough gravy to put on rice, mashed potatoes or cauliflower mash. Add extra stock if needed. Enjoy! 30 min cook time. 😋
