Welcome back! We are so excited that another boating season is upon us and we couldn't be more grateful to have each and every one of you with us. As always, we are committed to making this your best season yet.

A NOTE FROM OUR TEAM

As you visit us for service calls or see us around the yard, you will notice some new faces. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved mechanic, Russ, this past winter. Russ was a cornerstone of our team and will be deeply missed by all of us. We are grateful for everything he brought to Moriches Bay Marine.

While no one can replace Russ, we are proud to welcome two talented new mechanics to the family:

• Jimmy brings over 40 years of experience to our team and will be serving as our inboard and stern drive specialist.
• Asher joins us from Moriches Boat & Motor and will be handling all outboard work.

We are confident you will enjoy working with both of them.

IMPORTANT: INCREASED SAFETY INSPECTIONS

For customers whose boats we captain, please be aware that local and federal law enforcement has advised us that there will be increased on-water safety inspections this season. As part of our commissioning process, we will be conducting checks to confirm that the minimum required safety gear is onboard.

If any of your safety equipment is found to be expired, you have two options:
1. Provide your own up-to-date gear, or
2. Let us take care of it — we offer a complete package that includes all required safety equipment such as signaling devices and fire extinguishers.

We want to make sure everyone is safe and compliant on the water.

Location: Moriches Bay Marina

Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal / Year-Round Opportunities

Moriches Bay Marina is a premier full-service marina located in Mastic Beach, offering everything from dockage and boat storage to maintenance and repairs. We are seeking experienced and certified Yamaha, Honda, and Mercury Outboard Technicians to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Yamaha, Honda, and Mercury outboards.

Rigging and installation of new outboard motors.

Troubleshooting and servicing inboard motors, as well as full boat systems, including plumbing, 12V electrical systems, air conditioning, and electronics.

Conduct mobile service calls for on-site repairs at various locations.

Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to our clients.

Maintain accurate records of repairs and services.

Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and company policies.

Requirements:

Certified Yamaha, Honda, and Mercury Outboard Technician (required).

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for mobile service).

Strong knowledge of boat systems, including inboard motors, plumbing, electrical (12V), air conditioning, and electronics.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.

Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Previous marina or boat service experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other brands of outboard or inboard motors.

ABYC or other related certifications.
