📣 Meet & Greet: KitCat
Blue Ridge Regional Airport’s Resident “BOBCAT” 🐾✈️
If you’ve been around for the last year, chances are you have at least seen this little lady around…. So let us formally introduce our current tenant and the Cat Distribution Network has spoken, and in its infinite wisdom, delivered us one very small, very mighty feline now known as KitCat.
We did try to negotiate names at first. “Piper” had a nice aviation ring to it. “Stephanie” felt classy, sassy and refined. But like any true airport authority figure, she ignored all suggestions and responded only to KitCat… so KitCat it is. 🤷♂️
Now don’t let her size fool you—this is no ordinary kitty. KitCat identifies as a BOBCAT, and honestly… we’re not in a position to argue. She has single-handedly reduced the local bird population (not that you pilots mind that too much 😏), and each morning she generously leaves “gifts” on the rugs—rabbits bigger than herself, and more moles than we can count. It’s basically a wildlife documentary out here….It’s how she pays her rent.
She’s a bit standoffish (celebrity status will do that), but rumor has it she can be persuaded with a slice of bacon from your BLT at Simply Suzanne's Cafe if you happen to swing by. 🥓
If you spot her, take a second to say hello. And if you are one of the lucky few granted the honor of petting her… well, it’s been said the rest of your day will be blessed. We don’t make the rules—KitCat does.
