Notice from the TFR Outreach Program

We are reaching out to all our general aviation partners and friends to inform you of an upcoming temporary flight restriction (TFR) that might impact operations at your airport/landing strip/heliport around Eau Claire, WI. The FAA will establish this VIP TFR for 5 June 2026. It is very important to get the latest NOTAM information before conducting flight operations. This is not a recurring TFR. As we have seen, dates and times are subject to change. We appreciate anything you can do to help spread the word to our fellow aviators. The NOTAM has not been published, but you can find the latest information at: https://tfr.faa.gov/tfr3/?page=list. When the NOTAM has been posted, another email will be sent out with a link to the NOTAM and a graphic of the TFR.

Today we saw the beginning of the end of the Airline Terminal Building at the Marshfield Airport. This building once served passengers and cargo airline service in Marshfield. When the airline service left Marshfield the building found life as an office complex building. Its last great use was for the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter temporary facilities. A brick from the building will be included in our history display at Marshfield. If you have any memories or images of the building please feel free to share them.

The plows at the airport certainly help move the most snow at the airport. The broom truck helps take it one step further for a more cleaner runway. Shout out to Bob Gaier and Dave Wells for keeping the runways clean at Marshfield.
