We are Ready to Roll!!!!

Finally got insurance and tags for Big Red and now it is time to put her to work. It's been a bit of a road getting here, but we are finally ready to see what this old girl can do.

One step closer to our DOT Inspection - we got the fire extinguisher and safety roadside triangles today and securely installed them in Old Red. Also, we returned the seal that I ordered wrong and we're looking for where to order the correct one (Auto Zone apparently does not stock them or the clerks are unable to find the part in their system)

Oh well, it's Memorial Day Weekend officially and this can wait for another day - hope everyone has a Happy and (theme of the day) Safe holiday.

Not looking very good for the rear seal removal today - but on a good note we are scheduled to get the fire extinguisher and safety triangles today so another step closer to DOT Inspection day :)

Well, a bit of a set back, I ordered the wrong rear end pinion yoke seal so we have to return it and try to find the right one - but we are getting our fire extinguisher and safety triangles tomorrow so we can install that and hopefully find someone who can order the right seal or tell us what size socket to use to even get the old one off so I can see a part number.

Still loving this life though :) just saying living the dream

Good morning everyone - Old Red was supposed to be getting a seal replaced on his rear end but it started raining so we'll see - if it happens I will be sure to post pictures and videos.

Meanwhile, just wanted to drop this here - stay tuned

Meet Old Red
We bought him out right he may be aged but he's as young and spry as any other box truck out there and he's getting some extra TLC to ready him for his closeup (DOT Inspection is necessary to run). But we will get there.

We are starting this new adventure together to see if we can build a lasting future for our children and their children and so on. As most of you know Ronnie has been driving a truck for many many years, 9 years on this last stretch and I had the pleasure of driving with him for 3 years as his team mate but much prefer to be in the passenger seat taking in the sights.

This page is to introduce and celebrate the upcoming drivers of the future and hopefully provide some sound advice and good paying positions for our children and the community. A small town in Arkansas is a perfect place to find some very good young drivers itching to make a bit of money and we hope to tap into that resource very very soon.

We are starting small, one truck and 2 drivers but the dream is to have 2 trucks by end of year and 2 more added next year. I hope my family and friends are as excited by this adventure as we are. I will do my very best to keep everyone informed of our progress as we move forward.
