Drawing blood samples for pregnancy checks. These were a group of 5 that were AI'd back in November. And one was a recheck from 6 months ago just to make sure, but she sure looks pregnant. Fingers crossed for a high success rate. Will post the results next week once the lab report comes in.

Calf calls her big mama when I get too close..

3rd calf born in 100+degree Texas heat. All 3 have been heifers. Summer=girls? Hope this one does as well as the last 2. She was born about 30 hrs ago probably when it was 102-105. Tough time for a newborn calf.

So far we've had 8 calves born since January (5 heifers 3 bulls). Turning out to be a pretty good year.
