Truck Battle Electric Edition ⚡🚛

Two electric semis, two very different approaches to trucking.

On one side, the Tesla Semi brings a fully electric Class 8 setup with a smooth aerodynamic body, quiet operation, and instant electric torque. It’s built to challenge the traditional diesel tractor with a cleaner, more tech-focused driving experience.

On the other side, the Volvo VNR Electric keeps a more familiar truck layout, but swaps diesel power for an electric drivetrain. It’s designed mostly for regional routes, city delivery, port work, and shorter freight runs where charging and daily return routes make sense.

CVSA Brake Safety Week runs August 23–29, with this year’s inspections putting extra attention on brake drums and rotors.

Throughout the week, certified inspectors will be checking commercial vehicles with a focus on brake systems and components. Brake-related violations will be recorded, and trucks with out-of-service brake issues can be taken off the road until those problems are fixed.

At A2B Cargo, we don’t wait for inspection week to start thinking about maintenance. Our trucks are serviced regularly and checked to make sure they’re ready for the road.

Back in the past, cabovers had a road presence you could spot from a mile away.

The 1987 Freightliner FLA Cabover came from an era when trucks were built for hard miles, long runs, and real work. With its flat-face design, strong stance, and unmistakable old-school look, this model still stands as one of the classics of the cabover days.

A true reminder of the time when trucking had a different kind of character.

Did you know the word “logistics” has military roots?

The term comes from the 19th-century French word “logistique” and is commonly linked to logis, meaning lodging or quarters. In military use, logistics covered the work behind keeping an army operational planning marches, arranging camps, transporting personnel, and making sure troops received food, equipment, and other supplies at the right place and time.

Long before highways, warehouses, and semi-trucks, armies depended on organized routes, supply wagons, storage points, and careful timing. A strong strategy meant little if troops could not be moved, housed, fed, and supplied.

Today, the tools are different, but the basic job remains familiar: plan the route, coordinate the load, and keep everything moving toward its destination.

That is logistics from military supply lines to the freight networks connecting the country today.
