Yellowstone’s most famous feature is almost inarguably Old Faithful Geyser. In fact, this eruptive icon is practically synonymous with the park itself.

Rising from a broad, white geyser cone surrounded by silica-crusted ground, Old Faithful sends a roaring column of steam and water skyward, often reaching heights of 100 to 180 feet.

When the Washburn Expedition discovered Old Faithful in the 1870s, they dubbed it "Eternity's Timepiece" in honor of its regular eruptions.

And, like a finely tuned geologic machine, Old Faithful has mostly stayed on schedule even after 150 years.

Today, it remains one of the most well-known and dependable geysers in the world.

Yellowstone National Park- pictures can not do this justice! We took the Grand Circle, we did the east side the first day and the west side the second day.

Yellowstone was the first National Park in the US, and is also widely understood to be the first national park in the world. The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially the Old Faithful geyser.

We had a marvelous dinner buffet in Cody, WY. We went to Irma Hotel.

Buffalo Bill helped found Cody, Wyoming, in 1895. He also established his TE Ranch in the area. In 1902, he built an establishment which he called “just the sweetest hotel that ever was” and named it for his youngest daughter, Irma.

The Irma’s famous cherrywood bar, a gift from Queen Victoria, dates to the period of construction and is one of the most photographed features in all of Cody.k

Devils Tower.

Devils Tower National Monument was the first United States national monument, established on September 24, 1906, by President Theodore Roosevelt.

The name "Devil's Tower" originated in 1875 during an expedition led by Colonel Richard Irving Dodge, when his interpreter reportedly misinterpreted a native name to mean "Bad God's Tower".

We even used the wooden selfie stand to take a group shot!

Custer State Park and the Wildlife Jeep Safari ride.
We travelled in open air jeeps to see all the animals we could find. We saw Bison, even one that held us up as it crossed the road. We saw Prairie Dogs living in a huge community of hills and holes. The burros were ready to come see you for snacks, but all the others needed a large distance of comfort!

It was amazing to see the creatures in their natural environment
