Good Evening Williamstown,
As the founders and donors of this project:
Carla and Craig Nichols ,
ABE Properties LLC
Secure Storage & Towing LLC
are proud to announce that the Port of Williamstown WV project is about to get real.

Finally after months of work by Mayor Paul Jordan, the Williamstown City Council has obtained permits to allow the installation of the new boat docks we are donating.

Since this project hasn’t been discussed openly or with any publicly until everything was in place, I would like to provide a little backround of how the project began.

In March of 2024 a worker and I were on the Ohio River in a small craft working on our boat dock area when the vessel capsized and started drifting. We held onto the bottom of the vessel until finally the Williamstown Fire Rescue saved us. It was because of their response time, equipment and training that our lives were saved that day. Because of that my wife and I wanted to give back. Being avid boaters we wanted to do something to enhance the Fire Departments ability to help have better access to the water for future rescues, give boaters better access to our river; hence the idea of The Port of Williamstown WV started.

This is just the beginning of plans to be announced soon for more to happen at the Port stay tuned.
