Disclaimer - While I am no longer legally selling travel to the public, I have gone through two different travel education programs to receive various certifications.

The most important certification is ICBC for Autistic families. I will be offering retreats throughout the US beginning this fall and it will allow these women to come for 6 hours, 24 hours or up to 48 which includes a two night stay.

Free as a Bird!!

I don't know what your astrological sun sign is, but I am definitely Aquarius!! I love to explore new towns, how about you? Something is unsettling about tying me to one home for twenty-plus years when there is so much to explore in our world. Some can stay in their hometown all their life, but there are people like myself, and perhaps turtles too, who would much instead take their homes with us. Are you an adventurer who loves to live in different homes all over the US and beyond, or are you more relaxed in your comfortable town? There is nothing wrong with that, as long as you realize that traveling to new places is the best gift you can give yourself. So, pack a bag and hit the road, rail, or sky. Yes, take your mask too so that you can preserve your health can truly enjoy your vacation.

As I mentioned yesterday, today I will invite you into an opportunity to allow me to serve even more families that need this connection after two stressful years of virtual learning thrust upon them. Some families did very well and learned that the school can provide a home base for learning, while true hands-on learning comes from venturing near and far from their homes. Others found it rather challenging to help their children while juggling their at-home job-related work responsibilities.

How do I hope to accomplish this mission of teaching more families? I am going to travel the country in a converted school bus that will look like a log cabin home from the side. I will go into family fairs and set up picnic tables of enrichment activities so that they can come complete a project side by side or one project together. This enrichment project will help them communicate and find each other's strengths.

Why is it important to have a log cabin facade? We want families to travel back in time to the time of Abraham Lincoln, long before technology became part of the American family activities. (The one shown belongs to the Thompson family of Washington - it will be the one that most resembles my bus.)

What can you do to help more families become aware of my services? When you choose to purchase a homemade craft, either previously created by me in a large variety of fabrics -$10 each (+shipping) or buy 10 get the 11th for free. You will be donating gas funds towards my reaching each family. (Yes, you will receive a donation form for your taxes. ) You can also purchase a $1 catalog of crafts delivered to your email box to see what crafts you can special order or classes to learn a special family skill.

Some of you may have noticed my Paypal extension of Personally Yours. Allow me to share the story of how Personally Yours became part of my Enriching Lifestyles Company.

In the year 2000, I began my adventure in Girl Scouting as a leader with kindergarten aged girls. Through out the years, we ventured further and further away from our home in quest of learning and adventure. One year, we went to Plymouth. Massachusetts to learn about the Pilgrims voyage to the new land and we learned all about geocaching. Another year we ventured to Maine to learn about the process of Maple Syrup making and the great outdoors in the Winter, and the last year we travelled by Amtrak to NYC to learn about the Statue of Liberty and make our way through the city streets on a tourist bus. Why does this matter to you?

I have had my experience with helping the girls appreciate the time together on the way to the locations. They learned almost as much on the journey as they did once we arrived at our location. Now you may also wonder how a leader got twelve to fifteen girls to all these locations? Money did not grow on trees. The girls sold cookies as a way of fundraising for their trips. While you may love the Thin Mints, the Tagalongs, or another cookie, they were the byproduct provided as a Thank You for donating to their wonderful adventures.

…Now jump ahead five years, the girls have graduated from High School out on their own adventures and it is time for me to start my new adventure alongside substitute teaching.

Every business idea starts as an adventure. My first entrepreneurial business was called Personally Yours and it allowed shoppers to custom order crafts in fabrics that spoke to them; from passions and hobbies to favorite sports teams. Personally Yours grew into a bigger business now known as Enriching Lifestyles Coaching & Travel as I still loved to build trips for learning and adventure.
