Work! Work! Work! In Florida doing mostly damage inspections due to Helene and Milton. But today I got to be in an Island Packet state of mind on a pre-purchase, condition and valuation survey.

Waaaay back in April, I had the honor to present a seminar at the Ladybug Race in St. Augustine, FL. The event was part of Women on the Water—a group with the purpose of making sailing an attainable goal for all women. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes I get a real-ish sea trial in. The vessel: a refit 1979 Cabo Rico 38. The sea kindliness of the vessel was impressive.

I’ve been to Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Sarasota, Bradenton, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Melbourne, Ft. Pierce, Key West, Marathon, Miami and back to TPA…10 days, ~4000 air miles (when I land at BIL), 1796 highway miles, 3 pre-purchase condition & valuation surveys, 2 damage surveys, 2 look-sees, 5 hotel rooms, four couch surfs, 1 kite session, and 1 overboard rescue….yes Delta, I will take the complimentary upgrade and a breakfast cocktail. Heading back to MT to write reports. 🎵🎶 that’s the window on my world…
