Headed home, home.

While on the harvest journey, the girls would refer to the trailer house (or RV or camper) as HOME.

But when they were talking about our house in Eastern Nebraska, it was HOME, HOME.

It’s stuck.

Before we arrive, though, we opted to visit the Krumbach’s and Bashutski’s in Circle.

And then to our favorite little town in Montana - Jordan.

Our final days on the road led us to Circle.

Jim thought he might be able to give Briar and Cal a break. He thoroughly enjoyed driving “the red” machine and had nothing but great things to say about the MacDon header!!

Thanks for letting us “help” you out, Krumbach Harvesting. I thoroughly enjoyed just getting to help the cooks and visit!

Today was cleanup day.

And, true to what’s typical, it was the hottest day of the week.

We met Todd at the 2025 Louisville Farm Show and was impressed with the product he was selling.

Impressed enough that we invited him to the farm to show his wares to Dennis, Bret and you.

All good things must come to an end.

The final path was made and combines were parked.

What a marathon! 23 days, 12+ hours per day (except for two early offs due to heat and wind) and acres upon acres of grain harvested.

It was quite amazing, to say the least.

Bret said it best when he said this over the radio, “I’m pretty tired. Think I’ll go home now”.

What’s next? Clean up, of course!

We made adjustments on the combines (with the push of a button) and new names entered.

We’re set for barley!!!

And then we went back to Spring Wheat to finish the day.

This leads to a lot less travel times. It also seems like less chatter on the 2-way.
