*THIS WEEKEND* Manchester Marine is hosting a “virtual” COASTSWEEP Water & Beach Clean Up. Come by Manchester Marine between 9 and 5 on Saturday OR Sunday to register and pick up supplies. Once registered, head out on the boat or to the beach of your choice and pick up whatever trash you come across. You can bring any collected marine debris back to Manchester Marine for disposal by 5pm on Sunday.

MARINE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC

MMC is a Full-Service Boat Yard with modern facilities and equipment. We are in search of a full-time, year-round, experienced Inboard Diesel/Gasoline Engine Technician. Position includes competitive salary, full benefits package (health insurance, 401k, paid vacations and holidays) and potential for overtime depending on seasonal demands. Continued training opportunities are encouraged and financed. Must be detail oriented and produce quality work.

Duties Include:

-Troubleshooting, Repairs, Maintenance, and Installation of Marine Engines and Related Systems

-Marine Systems Troubleshooting / Repair

-Decommissioning / Commissioning

-Service / Maintain Jets, Pods and Sail Drives

-Process work orders and track progress of tasks

-Follow SOP for parts and purchasing

-Work independently and with the team

Before & After. This center console was re-powered at our shop. The conventional gauges were replaced with a new Yamaha display. Our fiberglass department took the time to fill, glass and gel coat the space to give it a nice clean finish. Winter is the best time to have projects like this completed. Marine Safety Bulletin from the US Coast Guard:

As Sea Tow's Automated Radio Check System is no longer available, the US Coast Guard has posted instructions for mariners to use their automated Digital Selective Calling (DSC) Test Call capability to ensure that their VHF radio is functioning properly.

"Marine radios transmitting and successfully receiving a response from a DSC test call can be expected to operate acceptably in the voice mode as well."
