Hot days and poor air quality can make summer travel more challenging. If you’re riding ChescoBus or SEPTA this summer, remember these precautions and tips to keep your bus ride safe and comfortable:
- Check the forecast and air quality before leaving.
- Bring water and stay hydrated.
- Wear light, breathable clothing
- Wait in a shaded area or under the bus shelter, if available.
- Arrive a few minutes early, stay alert while waiting, and signal the driver if needed.
- If you are feeling dizzy, overheated, or short of breath, move to a cooler area and seek help if needed.
⚠️ On Code Orange or extremely hot days, young children, older adults, and people with heart or lung conditions should take extra precautions and limit time outdoors when possible.
