Ralph C. Weiser Field

Ralph C. Weiser Field Magnolia Municipal Airport has served the Magnolia area for many years and has recently changed the name to Ralph C. Weiser Field.

Magnolia Municipal Airport was built with a hard-surface runway in 1953 and enjoyed nine years of airline passenger service to Magnolia Airport which ended in 1962 with the withdrawal of Trans-Texas Airways. In July 2016, the Board unanimously decided to change the name to Ralp C. Weiser Field in honor of the late Ralp C. Weiser who had been a long time active board member. The Airport covers an a

rea of 272 acres at an elevation of 319 feet above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 18/36 with an asphalt surface measuring 5,008 by 100 feet.

Ralph C. Weiser Field sign unveiling and dedication has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 24th from 11:30a to 1:00p. We will post it here as soon as that has been confirmed.

Everyone is invited. We hope to have a good crowed and plan to have a few planes on display as well.

This was a King Air C90 that visited our airport recently and was take with permission. It was very hot so he uses most of the runway.

First I'd like to thank everyone who's "liked" this page. This really help us improve some aspects of our page.

Secondly, we wanted to let everyone know that with the name change from Magnolia Municipal Airport to Ralph C. Weiser Field we are having a new sign made reflecting this change. It will be located at the entrance to the airport road off Highway 79.

Plans are to host an "Open House" in conjunction with the sign unveiling. A date has not been set at the time of this post but we are planning for some time around the end of July or first of August.

We'll post the information here and on our website http://RalphCWeiserField.com as soon a it's available.
