Guice Offshore was recently called upon to complete a very unusual and challenging mission with deep history that involved removing transatlantic telegraphic cable (pictured ⬇️ on deck) that was laid in the mid-1800s. The cleared cable will make way for new technology to replace it along the same seabed path. The first official transatlantic telegram in history was sent on the cable from England’s Queen Victoria in 1858 to congratulate then-U.S. President James Buchanan.
