JOB POSTING***Feed Products & Service Co., the Midwest's leading supplier of Feed Ingredients, is seeking a Loader and Excavator Operator to join our production team at our Madison, IL manufacturing plant. FPS specializes in Mineral Feed Ingredient packaging and Bulk distribution programs. We remain a local, Midwest-owned and operated company that is small enough to pay attention to the details, but large enough to service more than 20 states throughout the US. We strive to serve our customers by delivering the finest feed ingredients on time, right to their door. Our passion is serving the Feed industry who serve our food industry. This is a skilled position in the operation of Heavy Equipment. The employee in this class is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Wheel Loader and an Excavator with the ability to work to finish instructions with an emphasis on accuracy. Work is performed in accordance with the instructions received by a Foreman, and the employee is expected to carry out the assignments, free of direct supervision, except for the more complicated jobs.

The employee is responsible for the efficient assignment of equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor at the first sign of trouble. The employee in this class receives general supervision from a foreman, and work is reviewed by observing results, equipment conditions, and by analyzing equipment and maintenance costs. This role is expected to perform other duties when there is no need for heavy equipment operation. Must have the ability to operate equipment safely and ensure maximum operating efficiency and be able to keep a record of time spent and materials used. Must have a valid drivers license. Must be able to read and interpret instructions, must have 3 to 5 years of demonstrated ability of the Heavy Equipment Operation. Ability to Problem solve and focus on constant improvement is required.
