Shepler’s Traditions June Class officially wrapped up the spring season at Shepler's! This group was one of the most engaged and enthusiastic crews we’ve had in a long time, and we couldn’t be more excited for our guests to meet them this summer! 👏

Shepler’s Traditions Class is a training experience for new crew members. At its core, Traditions is a culture‑focused training designed to immerse new crew members in the history, values, and expectations that define Shepler’s. The experiences along the way also give them firsthand context they can draw from when connecting with guests.

From a carriage tour around the island to Fort Mackinac, this class truly soaked it all in. We also want to send a huge congratulations to Chris on the final year of teaching this class—thank you for the time, passion, and dedication you’ve poured into shaping so many incredible team members over the years. 💙

Today we’re proud to celebrate two incredible cast members who prove that hard work and dedication can take you all the way to the wheelhouse.

After putting in the work, starting as deckhands and advancing to captain training this spring —these two have officially earned their captain’s bars today! 👏 Their dedication, growth, and commitment over the past few seasons have led them to this exciting milestone. Congratulations to Captain Arlo and Captain Luke!

Their journeys are a true reflection of the opportunities within Shepler’s and the passion our crew brings every day. Please join us in congratulating our newest captains on this well-deserved milestone! ⛴️✨

Here’s to calm winds and following seas and many safe passages ahead! 💙
