Post 4 — Listening 👂

Most leaders are waiting for their turn to talk.
Servant leaders are genuinely listening. 🤝

Proverbs 18:13 puts it plainly: "To answer before listening, that is folly and shame."

Your team, your students, your community—they don't need you to have all the answers. They need to know they've truly been heard. 💬 When people feel heard, they feel valued. And when they feel valued, they bring their best. ⭐

This week's leadership challenge: Hold your response. Just listen. 🙌

Post 3 — Identity 🪣

John 13 tells us that before Jesus washed His disciples' feet, He "knew that the Father had put all things under his power." He knew exactly who He was, and that's precisely WHY He served.

Insecure leaders demand to be served. 😤
Secure leaders are free to serve. ✝️

When your identity is rooted in Christ rather than your position, you don't need recognition to feel significant. You can hand someone the towel because you already know whose you are. 🙏

Post 2 — Authority 👑
Too many leaders treat their position as a destination. Jesus treated His as a responsibility.

He had all authority in heaven and earth ✝️ and He used it to heal the sick, feed the hungry, and lift up the forgotten. Power in the hands of a servant becomes a blessing to everyone around them. 🙌

Your title, your influence, your platform — these aren't yours to hoard. They're tools entrusted to you for the benefit of others.

🍎 Teachers pour so much of themselves into our kids, often quietly and without much recognition. Some of the most dedicated people we know here in Baker County are the ones showing up early, staying late, and buying classroom supplies out of their own pockets.

We're always honored when a teacher stops in for lamination, printing, or that last-minute project help. It's the least we can do for folks who give so much.

Here's to the teachers shaping the next generation right here at home. Thank you for the reminder to appreciate them! 🙌

The greatest leader who ever walked this earth washed feet. 👣

Before His final hours, Jesus knelt before His disciples with a basin and a towel, not a throne and a scepter. He said, "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant." (Matthew 20:26)

Servant leadership isn't weakness. It's the highest form of strength. 💪 It is the willingness to put others before your own comfort, status, or recognition.

This week, ask yourself: Who can I serve today? 🤔
