A little hard to see, but we had an Elk run across the airport today. So if you’re flying into KLYV watch out for the Geese, Moose( a couple weeks ago), and now the Elk.

Update on the FBO maintenance hangar fire restoration project.
The construction companies have shown up and are starting the demo of the inside. Concrete has been cut for a new floor drain spanning the entire building. I will have more updates as the project progresses.

A great customer chose to replace his old attitude indicator and DG with the new Uavionix AV30C combo.
Back in 1965 Cessna didn’t quite set up the panel for a good scan, so we decided to build new panels right and left to accommodate the standard scan panel.
A great friend does all of my CNC panel cutting and we do all the powder coat in house to the color of your choice. We even blasted the old yokes and color matched them to the panel.
The final product turned out beautiful!

As all of you have known, our previous business suffered a fire last September 23. We have been working out of a couple temporary hangars on the field since then. Business is steady now and the old hangar is going to be repaired starting early May.

With the fire that we suffered we were unable to get insurance quotes for the new renewal period. We were forced to start a new FBO, Tailwinds Aircraft Services LLC. Same great service with a new name!

Come on in anytime and chat, we're always willing to talk aviation! I will keep you updated on the status of the maintenance hangar as it goes along.

WE ARE BACK OPEN!!

We have spent the last 3 weeks moving and cleaning all of our shop equipment that made it through the shop fire on 9-23-2020. We have moved from the large hangar on field to a couple smaller hangars that are back-to-back. We lost approx only 10% of our shop tooling, but all of our paper maintenance manuals and most office equipment was lost in the fire! We were able to get PDF copies of the maintenance manuals so we can still work!
I want to thank everyone who has helped us clean, move, and setup the new shop! You don't know what that meant to us, THANK YOU!
I also want to thank everyone who has donated to the Gofundme https://gf.me/u/y28xcn all those monies will be spent on either new or used office equipment and tooling we lost.
