This is a custom HO Scale model railroad built as a switching layout. This pike measures 9.0' x 3.0' and features Code 83 track. The design incorporates over a dozen turnouts controlled by Tortoise Switch machines and operated by double pole-double throw toggle switched with bi-colored LED's.

The system has a over two dozen structured and details and features interior lighting in nearly all structures. The LED's are custom 3mm warm white featuring a interface with the Woodland Scenic lighting system. Street lights are on independent control. Structures include three kit bashed structures while the other remaining structures are Walthers Cornerstone buildings. Also featured in the Pike is a custom inspection pit that features the ability to program DCC Locomotives without the need of an independent programing track. It also blends into the scene serving as a prototypical inspection pit.

The signal system (minus signal bridge) are Oregon Rail dwarfs featuring LED's. Although a little brighter than we anticipated we will adjust the tone with the swap of a resister. Each dwarf has two lights (red/green) allowing for the turnouts alignment; diverging shows red with aligned showing green.

Scenery at the time of this video contained custom roadways, ground cover and custom made dirt. The roadways are made from sandpaper that we custom weather and stipe as seen in the photos. Once completed the roadways will show worn areas and cracks in the pavement. The yard roadways contact concrete (balsa) roadways. These too will be weathered and will feature cracks and potholes commonly found in the yards.
