Barren River State Dock

Dear Valued Customers,

Unfortunately, Barren River Lake is still 13’ below summer pool. We need an additional 8’ of water to be able to move the marinas into place and allow for safe navigation of the lake. With this being the case, we will have to delay opening Barren River State Dock and Peninsula Marina until May 1st. We apologize heavily for the inconvenience this will cause our customers, but unfortunately, we have no choice but to wait. We also will be delaying our rental boats going out until May 15th.

USACE has closed the dam and are doing all they can to fill Barren River Lake. Unfortunately, we are beholden to the weather, and the lack of rain has us stuck.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this situation will cause and ask that you have continued patience with the marina staff as we work on getting ready for open season.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS!!

All power at the marina will be shut down for the entirety of the day on Wednesday 10/22/2025, along with all walking access to the docks being shut down as well.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

‼️Repair Update‼️

Full walking access has been restored to the entire marina. Access is still restricted to slip holders and their guests. We are continuing to repair the marina and will over the coming months. Please exercise caution when on the docks.

F dock power has been completely repaired and is live. We are working to restore power to B, C & D docks and hope to have it completely in the next week or two.

Attention customers!!

The electric contractors will be working on F-dock power all of next week. During this time power will be off and on intermittently. Please make sure to take steps to insure there is no damage to your property during this time.

Once repairs are complete, we will notify you!

‼️ Power has been restored to all docks except B, C & D. The line that feeds these 3 docks was severely damaged in the storm and will need to be replaced completely. We hope to have power back to B, C & D within the next few weeks. Depending on cable availability. ‼️

Everybody come join us for Mother’s Day Weekend!

We will be open for Mother's Day Weekend: Friday May 9th Saturday May 10th and Sunday May 11th 10am-5pm!

Marina will be fully staffed, store fully stock and we will have fuel! Our staff will be offering shuttle service to and from the marina.
