With all the recent rain across Texas, it's completely normal to see mushrooms popping up in your yard. They're a sign that there's plenty of moisture in the soil and that organic matter is breaking down beneath the surface.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing that can be sprayed or treated to stop them while the weather stays wet. The good news? As the ground dries out and you continue your regular mowing, the mushrooms will naturally disappear.

So if you see a few mushrooms after all this rain, there's no need to panic—they're temporary and are simply Mother Nature taking advantage of the extra moisture.

We're out here spraying for them each time we visit, but it can take up to 30 days for them to completely die off this time of year.
