Shipper loaded me 14 hours past the deadline, but they expected me to drive all night and make the delivery. Even with a 10-hour break, I soldiered up and got it there on time. Then, at the next stop, while I was already parked at the receiver 30 feet from their door, ready to check in at 6 AM, someone asked if I could 'split log' to be on time. A simple check would have shown I was already there.

My dispatcher used to say, 'Message me if I miss your call, I'll get back to you.' Now, I message daily for days, even a full week, and still wait for a call back. It's incredibly frustrating.

Many drivers are finding it hard to make a living with current trucking rates, especially after factoring in company cuts. While some recruiters are still actively seeking drivers, the overall industry seems to be declining.
