Holy (insert bad word here that I totally don’t say in real life).

Those are the only words that I have to describe yesterday. You guys SHOWED UP in a big way, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Thankful that you showed up for the vendors & the authors, thankful that you showed up for us, and thankful that you showed up for the entire town of Louisville. This was my first event, and I learned a lot from it. Like I definitely need more help so that someone can run social media while I’m running the store because I got almost zero pictures yesterday. Thankfully Sage Photography showed up and took some for us! (She’s got a studio in Springfield if you’re looking for an amazing photographer!) We should get those back next week, so you can see some pretty photos instead of my “quick, get some so we have something to post” ones.

Hopefully we can make this a yearly thing, maybe even a spring/fall thing, who knows. All that I know is that I’m extremely grateful for all of you. Whether you’re a returning customer, or a new face, you made this day great for us and everyone participating. It means so much to all of us. 💕

I hope you love your candles, books, baked goods, bookmarks, blind date with a books, accessories, or whatever you bought yesterday. Tag us in any photos of you at the event, or the goodies you took home with you! We’d love to see them.

This isn’t a glamorous picture, but I figured you guys needed to see the not-so-glamorous side of this life, too.

We’ve had 3 large shows in 4 weeks, deliveries that haven’t been unpacked, display fixtures that don’t have a home, and overflow from production that has made its way into our shoppable space. Unfortunately, our production area just isn’t big enough for us anymore, and all of that has turned into… well, this chaos.

All of that to say, it’s going to take me through this weekend just to get this space cleaned up and put back together. After that, we’re jumping straight into prepping for Pumpkins & Pages, and then it’s on to Christmas!

So, the ONLY day we’ll be open before Small Town Christmas is October 24th for Pumpkins & Pages.

I’m so sorry. Sometimes I feel like I just can’t get it all done on my own, and honestly, that’s probably true. I’m always learning, growing, and figuring out how to make this little business work better. My hope is that by next fall, we’ll have a better handle on keeping the store stocked while doing these big events. Hopefully my ADHD turns into a little bit of OCD and I can magically keep my chaos more organized by then 🙃

Running this business isn’t always pretty, and as a one woman show, with help of volunteers, some weeks our schedule just doesn’t go quite the way I want it to. Lately, that has been happening a lot more often than I want it to over here.

I don’t even know if I can put into words how grateful I am for these last two weekends. Grateful for all of you who chose to show up and support all of these small businesses on the farm, grateful that you chose to spend your hard earned money here, grateful to Sara and her team for putting on an amazing show (as always), and for letting me take a chance on a second booth during the second weekend. I’m also extremely grateful for this sleep I’m about to get tonight 🤪 The countdown to spring JUNKSTOCK® starts NOW (and pack up starts tomorrow, because a girl is exhausted)

I took the tees out for the quickest photo session this morning, so they aren’t perfect, but they’re here to tell you, pre-orders are OPEN! I’ll post info under each photo (give me just a few mins, because I’m out at Junkstock), and they will be ready for pick up at Pumpkins & Pages (October 24th), Small Town Christmas (first weekend of November) OR I can ship/drop off.
