2025 was a crazy year for us all. The Ohio River flood waters impacted numerous clients. Carrier Marine Services performed multiple tasks throughout the year of 2025. From washing away the river silt from parking lots and buildings, restoring electrical power & electrical device replacement to businesses and residential homes directly impacted by the flood, and vessel recovery across the state of Kentucky. The one below in the photos was very challenging with extreme water temperature below freezing that our divers had to endure. It took place right next the Louisville Metro Fire & Police Rescue Vessels and River Patrol Station on the Ohio River.

Another successful mission of Raising partial sunken vessel on Ohio River with no visibility under water and swift current of three knots. We found a rupture in the hull under the water tank. Hardly any of the multi anodes were still attached. Insurance company wanted a complete Marine Survey before writing a policy. It basically sank before that could happen and became out of pocket expenses to the owner. Two divers and two dive tenders completed this job.

Removed this very large and long tree today.
A total of ten was removed today. These could of been a catastrophe for a boater or yacht

Before setting underway, just a reminder make sure your vessel is SEAWORTY and INSURED. Already received several calls of sunken vessels with no insurance. A policy typically cost starting $500.00 Per Year with monthly installments according to insurance providers we invoice. With that said, be safe and have fun on the water.

Received a call last night from one of our local popular marinas in Jefferson County Kentucky regarding one of their slips partially submerged from the flooding currently taking place this week on the Ohio river.
Early this morning, we went to investigate before more rising flood waters could create more damage to the slip. We found two entangled mooring lines that were left tied off, dangling in the water and attached to a heavy obstruction underwater. The lines were twisting stress and bending the slip. Minium damage was caused with our swift response to action.
