Day 301 — I Found the Passenger Train

At the edge of the Ogden rail yard, I finally saw it.

Behind rows of rusted freight cars stood a long passenger train—large enough to carry hundreds of evacuees. The light was fading, so I refused to enter alone in the dark. Tomorrow, I start with those passenger cars.

Would you wait for daylight or go inside immediately? Tell me in the comments.

❗️Day 301. I finally reached Ogden and found the first physical evidence that the evacuation from Hill Air Force Base continued by rail.

Following the old bus route north, I passed an abandoned staging area, industrial roads, and a transfer platform still marked for evacuation traffic. The deeper I went into the rail yard, the clearer the pattern became: this was not just freight infrastructure. People were brought here, processed, and moved onto trains as part of the same evacuation chain I have been following since Reno.

Then, just before dark, I saw a long line of old passenger cars hidden behind the freight tracks. I didn’t go inside yet—the light was fading too fast. But if this is the train that carried the evacuees north, tomorrow may finally reveal where they were taken next.

Day 301 — They Moved People Through This Station

The buses from Hill did not disappear—they ended at an evacuation transfer point.

In Ogden, I found the same route markings, an old rail symbol, and a weathered sign directing evacuees toward the main yard. This station was built to move people north in huge numbers.

Where do you think the trains were taking them? Leave your theory in the comments.

Day 301 — The Trail Leads to Ogden

Hill was never the end of the evacuation route.

Inside the old records offices, I found repeated bus transfers from Hill to Ogden—and one surviving route sheet marked “NORTHBOUND RAIL.” The people from Reno were moved again. This time, I finally know where the trail continues.

Would you follow the route to Ogden or keep searching Hill? Tell me in the comments.

❗️Day 301. I finally found the next link in the evacuation chain — and it leads away from Hill Air Force Base toward Ogden.

Today I went back through the old records inside Hill and found repeated transport entries showing that evacuees were moved out by bus. Then one route finally made the pattern clear: “OGDEN TRANSFER — NORTHBOUND RAIL.” The same destination appears again and again in the convoy logs, which means Hill was only one step in a much larger evacuation system.

By the end of the day, I left the base and started moving north toward Ogden. If those buses really carried people to the rail yard, there may still be a train, a manifest, or another route waiting there.
Tomorrow I’m searching the Ogden rail yard. What do you think I’ll find? Tell me in the comments.

On my birthday, I found another road—but still no one waiting.

Day 300 — A damaged routing sheet showed the evacuation line leaving Hill and continuing north. The final destination is unreadable, but the direction is clear. Tomorrow I follow it.

Would you keep searching north or stay and inspect the shelter? Tell me in the comments.

Hill was never their final destination.

Day 300 — Inside the shelter, I found empty bunks, old registration desks, ration crates, and an evacuation roster. The records showed the people from Reno were processed here, then moved again. Hill was only a transfer point.

Where do you think they were taken next? Leave your theory in the comments.

The shelter finally opened after decades of silence.

Day 300 — I forced the dead manual release and pulled the blast door wide enough to enter. There were no lights or voices inside—only a dark concrete passage and evacuation arrows leading deeper underground. This may be where the Reno passengers were taken after Hill.

Would you enter alone, or wait outside? Tell me in the comments.

Day 300 — My Birthday Led Me to the Truth Beneath Hill.

❗️Today is my birthday, and instead of hearing my family’s voices, I opened the underground shelter beneath Hill Air Force Base and found the strongest proof yet that the people from Reno really made it here.

Inside, I found rows of empty bunks, old registration areas, evacuation records, and routing information showing that Hill was never their final destination. The people brought here were processed, sheltered temporarily, and then moved again. One damaged route sheet still shows a clear transfer line leading north, even though the final destination can no longer be read.

That changes everything. I spent days believing Hill might be where the trail ended, but now I know it continued beyond this base. On my birthday, I didn’t find another person waiting for me—but I found one more reason to keep searching.

The trail didn’t end at the runway. It went underground.

Day 299 — Old evacuation boards inside flight operations pointed away from the aircraft and toward an emergency shelter sector deeper inside the base.

At dusk, I reached a sealed blast door beneath a concrete berm. The Reno passengers were sent here—but I’m not opening it until tomorrow.

Would you open the shelter alone? Tell me in the comments.
