Most people think a trip to China is about checking off big cities.

But this is the part people remember most.

In Guizhou, we slowed down and stepped into village life — wooden homes in the mountains, traditional songs, local craft, and moments you can’t really plan for.

It wasn’t just sightseeing.
It was connection.

Watching our guests learn, laugh, and participate with the community is exactly why we design our trips this way.

This is the kind of travel that stays with you long after you get home.

China 🇨🇳 tour countdown begins! ✈️

Our group kicks off this Monday, starting in Beijing, and in just over a week we’ll be standing right here — Baiyan Village, nestled in the Leigongshan National Nature Reserve of Guizhou.

Can’t wait to see how these rice terraces transform as the season shifts deeper into fall. Every shade tells its own story — green for dreams not yet finished, golden for wishes fulfilled.

‼️Must see for traveling to China

If you’re flying to or within China, there’s one small thing that can cause BIG trouble:
👉 Your power bank must have a 3C Certification.

❓ What is 3C?
3C = China Compulsory Certification
It’s China’s official safety mark for electronics
Without it, your power bank may be:
❌ Confiscated at airport security
❌ Refused for check-in or carry-on
❌ Blocked from shipping or logistics

3C Certification Requirement:
• All power banks must display the official 3C certification mark (white background with
black logo).
• Power banks manufactured on or after August 1, 2024 without this label will not be
allowed on board.
• Items with missing, tampered, or unclear certification may also be denied at security.

Capacity Limits (Based on Watt-Hours, Wh):
• ≤ 100Wh: Allowed in carry-on baggage without airline approval. (For example: 20,000mAh at 5V = 100Wh)
• 100Wh – 160Wh: Requires prior airline approval; each passenger may carry up to two units.
• >160Wh or unclear capacity: Strictly prohibited on board.

Carrying and Usage Rules:
• Power banks must be carried in your hand luggage. They are not allowed in checked
baggage.
• Use of power banks is prohibited during the entire flight, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing. Devices must remain powered off.

We were just interviewed by China News Agency — a huge encouragement for our journey ahead.

Silky Way started as a simple idea last year: what if we could help more people around the world see a deeper, more human side of China?

Fast forward to today — we’ve fully designed and launched our very first China travel program. From cultural immersion to local living, we’ve handcrafted every detail to help international travelers go beyond the tourist layer.

This September, I’ll be joining the trip as a client myself — a two-week journey across Beijing, Chengdu, Guizhou, and Shanghai. I’m beyond excited to see it come to life on the ground!

China’s borders may be open again, but inbound tourism isn’t booming just yet — especially in the U.S., where most people still know very little about modern China. That’s why we believe the opportunity is enormous, and the mission even more meaningful.

Two UCLA Law grads, with bilingual and bicultural background, and a vision to bridge the cultures through travel.

We’re just getting started. 🌏
