The professional photos are BACK from C&A’s colorful garden party wedding! 🌸🌿

Full of color, life, laughter, and so much love, this day was a beautiful celebration of two families becoming one. From the vibrant garden-party details to the happy tears, big smiles, and plenty of fun along the way, every part of this wedding felt like them. 💐

It was the kind of day that reminds me why I love what I do: creating celebrations where family, personality, and a little bit of magic can all take center stage. And C&A’s day had SO much joy packed into it. 🥹💕

EVENT TIP THURSDAY: Walk through your event like you’ve never been there before.

You know your venue.

You know where the entrance is.
You know where the bathrooms are.
You know where cocktail hour is happening.
You know exactly where everyone is supposed to go.

Your guests? They’ve never been there before.

One of my favorite event-planning exercises is to literally walk through the space from the perspective of someone who has zero context.

Ask yourself:

🚗 Where do I park?
🚪 How do I know where to enter?
🪑 Where am I supposed to go when I arrive?
🍸 Where do I get a drink?
🚻 Where are the bathrooms?
📍 How do I get from one part of the event to another?

If the answer is “they’ll probably figure it out,” that’s usually a sign that something could be clearer. 😂

Maybe you need better signage. Maybe the layout needs tweaking. Maybe you need someone stationed in a particular spot to help direct people.

Great event design isn’t just about what people see. It’s about what they experience.

And when guests can move through your event without constantly wondering “Wait… where am I supposed to go?” - you’ve done your job really well.

San Francisco, but make it FANTASTICAL. 🎬🎮

I may have gone to San Francisco for Pokémon Worlds, but obviously I couldn’t visit the Bay Area without turning the whole trip into a fandom adventure. 😂

We packed SO much nerdy goodness into one trip:

🏰 The Walt Disney Family Museum
🎬 Drove by Pixar Animation Studios
⭐ Stopped by the Lucasfilm offices AND the Skywalker Ranch General Store
⚡️ Spent an entire day at Pokémon Worlds
🎮 Visited the Nintendo Store
👑 Checked out iconic filming locations from The Princess Diaries, Full House, and more!

Basically, if there was a way to combine travel, pop culture, Disney, video games, movies, TV, and general nerdiness into one trip… we found it. 😂

This is EXACTLY why I love helping people plan travel. Your trip doesn’t have to be just about checking the “must-see” attractions off a list. Build a trip around the things that make YOU excited to be there.

Fandom travel is absolutely a thing… and I am VERY here for it. 💫

Still not over how gorgeous K&I’s multi-fandom themed wedding day was!

There are some weddings where you look through the gallery and immediately remember exactly why you love what you do. This is one of them.

From the gorgeous florals and thoughtful cultural details to all the little fandom touches woven throughout their day, every corner of this wedding felt intentional, personal, and completely them. And Wilbur Studios somehow captured it all so beautifully. 📸

Getting the professional photos back from Jenna & Daniel’s wedding has me falling in love with this day all over again.

Their celebration was the perfect blend of coastal elegance and intimate celebration: soft, romantic, timeless, and filled with thoughtful details that felt completely them. 🤍

After everything life had thrown their way, getting to watch Jenna & Daniel celebrate this next chapter together was incredibly special. They were genuinely two of the sweetest people to work with, and it was such a joy to help bring their vision to life.

Some weddings are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people at the center of them.

Two wedding expos. SO many beautiful couples. All the fandoms. And a whole lot of feelings. 🥹

I had the absolute BEST weekend at Premier Bridal Shows’ OC BrideCon and the CA Bridal & Wedding Expo! I got to meet some incredible couples, talk about all things weddings (and ALL the fandoms), hear about some truly fantastical wedding ideas, and connect with some amazing fellow vendors along the way.

I almost cried yesterday thinking about how well this weekend went. Not just because of the amazing people I met or the conversations I had, but because I had this really big realization: I get to do something that feels so completely and unapologetically ME.

A few years ago, I never would have imagined that I’d be standing at a wedding expo proudly talking about nerdy weddings, fandom-inspired travel, themed celebrations, and all the wonderfully weird and wonderful ways couples can make their wedding feel like them.

I spent a lot of years feeling like I had to put certain parts of myself away or make myself a little more “normal.” And now? I get to build a business around the exact things that make me happiest. I get to embrace my nerdy side, turn it into something creative and meaningful, and share it with other people who want their celebrations to feel just as personal.

Honestly, I don’t even recognize the person I was a couple of years ago… and I’m really proud of that. 🖤

Thank you to every couple who stopped by my booth this weekend, told me your stories, showed me your inspiration, or let me get excited about your wedding with you. And thank you to all the vendors who continue to make this industry such a fun community to be part of.

Here’s to more fantastical weddings, more fandom conversations, more weird little ideas, and building a life that actually feels like mine!

A PRE-WEDDING HONEYMOON?! Say less!

I had the absolute HONOR of helping one of my couples take a fantastical little adventure before they say “I do”! 💕✈️ K&I are getting married next year with a Nier: Automata + Kingdom Hearts themed wedding (plus some other fandom flairs, obviously 👀), and they decided they didn’t want to wait until the wedding to start the adventures!

Since this was their first time visiting Orlando together, they wanted to experience as much Disney AND Universal magic as possible, and as their travel agent, I was SO excited to help make it happen!

🏰 They stayed at the Walt Disney World Swan so they could explore all four Disney theme parks.

🎢 Then they hopped over to Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort for the Universal portion of their adventure, including a visit to Volcano Bay that was literally just steps from their hotel! And yes, they managed to hit ALL FOUR of Universal Orlando’s parks too! 🤯

From meeting characters and riding some incredible attractions to eating A LOT of delicious food, they packed their trip with everything a couple of nerdy Disney & Universal fans could ask for.

Some weddings change you, and this was one of them 🤍

In February, I had the absolute honor of working with to help plan Brenda & Tony’s wedding. For those who may not know, this incredible nonprofit organization grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or life-altering health circumstances… and being part of that mission is something I will never take for granted.

This one hit especially close to home. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, my own wedding became something deeply meaningful for our family - a moment of love, joy, and togetherness in the middle of uncertainty. So to help create that same kind of moment for another family… it meant everything.

Brenda & Tony’s story is one of love, resilience, and music. They met as teens in LA, bonded over their shared love of music, and even started a band together. Over time, friendship turned into something more, and after welcoming their son, they got engaged, ready to start their next chapter.

But life had other plans. During what should have been an exciting season of wedding planning, Tony began experiencing severe headaches. He was later diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

That’s when Wish Upon a Wedding stepped in - to bring light, love, and a moment of celebration in the middle of something incredibly heavy.

Brenda & Tony: you are one of the strongest, most inspiring couples I’ve ever met. It was truly an honor to stand alongside you and help bring your wedding day to life.

And to the VENDOR DREAM TEAM—there are no words big enough for the gratitude I feel. Every single person showed up with so much heart, generosity, and care. This day was only possible because of you, your donations & services, and your kindness 🤍
