Join a Metro Art Los Angeles docent-led art and architecture tour for a journey through the station. Discover the stories behind the station’s architecture and artworks, learn about the artists and their creative processes, and get introduced to riding Metro along the way. Tours are free & open to all ages.

Your next destination awaits ✨

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art officially opens next Tuesday. Lucky for us, there’s no need to travel light-years to get there. The new museum is just steps from Expo/Vermont Station, which opened in 2012 and is part of the E Line (formerly the Expo Line), connecting East LA to Santa Monica.

Riders can take the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority E Line to Expo/Vermont and experience artwork by artist Jessica Polzin McCoy along the way! 🚇🎨

Inspired by the historic West Adams neighborhood, McCoy’s artwork captures the everyday rhythms and stories of the community through hundreds of photographs she took. Look closely, padawan. You’ll find gardens, front porches, communal spaces, and the energy of neighborhood life layered throughout the station.

Say hello to Panorama City!

Metro Art Los Angeles unveils the latest art poster in the ‘Through the Eyes of Artists’ series: Panorama City by artist Mel Depaz, now on buses and trains throughout the region.

Amidst a starry sky and the iconic hills of the San Fernando Valley, artist Mel Depaz’s artwork highlights Plaza Del Valle, a beloved shopping complex and community hub home to approximately 100 small businesses and restaurants. Inspired by the plazas of Latin America, Plaza Del Valle also hosts community events with live entertainment and family-friendly activities, captured through Depaz’s mariachi-heart trumpeter and colorful folklorico dancers.

On Monday, Sept 14, meet the artist and receive a FREE signed art poster at the Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Plaza Del Valle, 8610 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, from 9AM to 12PM. Join the festivities, meet Mel Depaz, and learn more about her creative process.

Collectors can also pick up their free poster at any Metro Customer Center across Los Angeles County, including Union Station, Baldwin Hills Crenshaw, East Los Angeles, LAX/Metro Transit Center, Rosa Parks Station, and Wilshire/Vermont.

Luxxury, RIO KOSTA and J.Rocc walk into Union Station… and turn the historic Ticket Concourse into the ultimate summer night!

Thank you, KCRW, for bringing the sounds of LA to the people! Thank you to all who came out and took Metro. Union Station Los Angeles became a swirl of music and dance, connecting with friends, making new ones and celebrating LA’s arts scene. Ain’t nothing like a summer night!

🔊 Bust some moves to sick beats provided by the Funky President himself, J.Rocc at Summer Nights at Union Station!

One of the original turntablists, J. Rocc founded the Beat Junkies in 1992 with Melo-D and Rhettmatic. He began DJing in the mid-’80s with California group PSK and became a seminal force in instrumental hip-hop. In addition to numerous mixtapes and Stones Throw releases, J. Rocc has been the DJ for Madlib’s live shows since the early 2000s, was the 3rd member of Jaylib during live events, and collaborated with Madlib on ‘Beat Konducta Vol. 5-6: A Tribute to J Dilla’. His solo albums include ‘Some Cold Rock Stuf’, ‘A Wonderful Letter’, and ‘Beatitudes’.
