The Discover Small Town America Tour 2.0. Follow us here and become a virtual member of the DSTA Road Crew. (https://lnkd.in/evhDAVQY). Our first cross-country Tour (49 days, 10,789 miles) took place before the pandemic, and gave our team a chance to see what leaders and influencers were doing at the grassroots level to help make their hometowns better places to live, work and do business.

Now, post-pandemic, we wanted to take another look at some of the nation's countryside communities to get an update on these same issues. We've got many days to go and thousands of miles to put in our rearview mirror, but there are a few observations we can share from the first 2,000 miles. (NOTE: let's get the food consumption issue out of the way up front. Yes, BBQ, fried catfish, pecan logs and other regionally famous "health foods" have been a part of the journey).

Folks like Stephanie Stuckey, who has gone all-in to reclaim the glory of the Stuckey's brand, are making great progress towards this goal since she relaunched her "campaign" a few years ago. We visited one of her company's roadside stores in Hattiesburg, MS, and it was booming! Stay tuned...
