✈️ Airport Operations Officer (Landside) – Closes Friday, October 2 – If you would like to be directly involved in the LGB passenger experience, this role is for you! Coordinate with airlines, manage common-use equipment and provide input on operational efficiency!

💼 Executive Assistant – Closes Friday, October 2 – This role provides high-level administrative, organizational and operational support to the Airport Director and Executive office.

Yesterday we welcomed another special visitor to LGB! National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) P‑3 Orion “Miss Piggy” touched down while supporting hurricane research and weather reconnaissance. This year, the NOAA celebrates the two P-3 aircraft, N42RF “Kermit” and N43RF “Miss Piggy,” for 50 years of service. This is also the first time in over 10 years that both “Kermit” and “Miss Piggy” have been on the West Coast together. LGB proudly honors the dedicated crew members—past and present—who accepted significant risk in service to the American public. Their commitment and courage continue to inspire all who pass through our gates. ✈️🇺🇸

Students from Cabrillo and Jordan high schools gained hands-on experience and explored different careers with local Airport-based employers as well as national partners.
