She wanted a lesson in tougher conditions!
It is great to get your ASA certification to learn sailing, but usually the training happens in very easy smooth light wind conditions.

Stéphanie wanted to expérience sailing in rough conditions, strong wind and higher waves, to practice all the manœuvres with difficulties: the boat leans, the waves hit, the sheets slam.

I highly suggest to train in these conditions so you are prepared when this happen and you are sailing in open sea, or even around Catalina.
And look at her smile, she was so happy!
