That's a good 25 years for the EL Dorado Sk8 Park. May not be all in the lime lite, But effective and for sure original since day one. It's history in the making for us Sk8 boarders and EL DO Locos.

Hey Now! Been awhile uhh... so 2 weeks ago roll out to ELDO and was blessed again with some of the best getting to serve up ELDO with some buzzer{lights out} endears. It was rare to see like five sk8ers get there trick back to back before the lights go out. A mix of old school sk8er, OG's and new generation. I feel like if they were young family members all grown up.

I once again got some youngsters in the the neighborhood into sk8boarding. I had a few complete boards and sold it to the youngsters stupid cheap and slowly that s**t has been spreading to like 11 youngsters. I feel I have some more years in sk8boarding s**t I just cant stop, I Will teach anybody sk8boarding if they are into it we could always use more artist.

Not to many people would do what I have done for EL Dorado Sk8park since 2000. I just took on a role of Director, maintenance, safety personnel and innovator of the first sk8park in LBC. Grateful to the city for life for giving us a place to call are own.Putting up with rangers in the beginning as they tried to stop me from providing helmets and pads to youngsters. Providing food and drinks at reasonable prices. Giving lessons to the beginning sk8ers. The sad part of it when I would go the the park director for some assistance they just gave me the run around. I think there is a need for Sk8union and old school pro's that are still active in the sk8 seen to get together and help establish the union. Only they can figure out a sk8er worth for each sk8er. I strongly believe the pro's are under payed and wrongly under rated, these guys need to get payed like athletes. The Nine Club is a good platform with excellent guest and knowledgeable people. I hope we can make it happen for the sake of sk8boarding.

Other day I was watching some old footage of Del Mar sk8 Ranch and the Kona park. It reminds me of our days at EL DO, These parks were home to many legends that would do things like be there all day, Push each other to go big and improve, get dropped off by parents and stayed to hang out all day, Grow strong bonds with sk8ers, Meet some girls, Have there first beer or just hang out even if you didn't sk8 and even have some one show you how to sk8. Well if you ever keep up with sk8boarding history EL DO was the first LBC sk8park and home to many pro's today. To many people don't care about the history of sk8boarding and to us that lived it, It is everything to us sk8ers.

Here is a good one from back in the days. It was early on a sat when the homie Even Hernandez starts to tell me that they are going to film a T.V show at EL DO, Switched with Terry Kennedy and if I wanted to be in it. We were to show a guy how to drop in on all the ramps. After a few drops the guy was getting better, till all the ramps were dropped in from. I didn't remember about this show. it was in fun and rewarding to get other people interested in sk8boarding. It was filmed for ABC family channel in 2002.
