🚨 CALIFORNIA TIRE UPDATE 🚨

You’ve probably seen headlines claiming California is banning aftermarket and off-road tires.

Here’s what off-road enthusiasts need to know:

✅ Tires manufactured specifically for off-road recreational vehicles are currently exempt from California’s proposed Replacement Tire Efficiency Program.

That means dedicated off-road tires aren’t the primary target of the proposal. The focus is on replacement tires for passenger cars and light-duty trucks, based on rolling resistance and efficiency standards. (California Energy Commission)

“Is a Power Tank safe in the heat?” ☀️

Yes. Power Tanks are designed with safety in mind. Each system includes a burst disc as a pressure relief device, and the regulator is designed to self-purge excess pressure. Direct sunlight and hot weather aren’t a problem when the bottle is properly filled and maintained.

So whether it’s parked at camp, sitting at the trailhead, or mounted on your rig, you can air up with confidence. 🔥💨

No.

But you could be on the freeway before the wife calls and asks “when are you coming home?”

❌ Do I need to replace my compressor?

No.

But having a backup that never gets hot, doesn’t need wiring, and runs air tools is pretty nice.

❌ Will a Power Tank save me money?

Probably not.

But if your time is worth something, spending less time airing up and more time wheeling might be worth it.
