This little nugget found the coziest spot in the hospital—and we’re pretty sure our assistant wasn’t complaining! 🥹

At VVA, our pockets may be full of pens, thermometers, and treats… but there’s always room for a puppy. 🩺🐾

Healing Day at Doggie Dude Ranch and Doggie Rescue Ranch is about bringing people together in a safe, peaceful space where everyone feels seen, heard, supported and loved.

Join us Saturday, August 29, from 9:00–11:00 AM for a morning created for rest, connection and healing. Whether you are living with chronic illness, chronic pain, grief, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, an autoimmune condition or simply carrying more than most people can see—you belong here.

Healing Day will include:

🐾 BREAKING NEWS: Dogs Have Personalities. 😂

We know… shocking information.

Apparently, you cannot determine a dog’s entire personality by looking at their color, breed, size, ears, wrinkles, fluff level, or lack thereof. 🤯😂

A black dog isn’t “just another black dog.”
A pit bull isn’t automatically a certain personality.
A little dog isn’t automatically a yapper.
And the dog that catches your eye first isn’t necessarily the one that will capture your heart.

Because dogs are individuals.

Every single one of them has value.

Whether they have fancy papers and a $4,000 price tag or they’re sitting behind the bars at Animal Control with absolutely nothing to their name.

One isn’t more worthy than the other.

And that’s really the point we hope people hear. ❤️

It breaks our hearts watching wonderful dogs get overlooked simply because they aren’t the breed, color, registered, or look that happens to be popular.

Because that overlooked dog has a story, too.

They have quirks.
They have favorite things.
They have fears.
They have things that make their whole body wiggle with happiness.
They have people they would absolutely adore if someone would just give them the opportunity.

Some are comedians.
Some are professional snugglers.
Some are adventurers.
Some are couch potatoes.
And some are socially awkward little weirdos who become absolutely hilarious once they finally feel safe. 😂

You can’t see any of that from a kennel door.

You have to get to know them.

So maybe instead of asking only, “What breed is that dog?”

Ask us:

“What are they like?” ❤️

That one little question can change everything.

Because papers don’t determine how deeply a dog can love.

A price tag doesn’t determine their worth.

And a breed label could never tell you their entire story.
