Saw two boats parked in parking spots, today. Neither had ramp passes. I’m not sure if they’re reserving parking ( like people get up in the morning and put towels on lounge chairs at resorts) or were there for another reason. Bottom line, it’s like the Wild West because there’s no real management. All spots were filled at 10:30AM…no permits seen.

1. Lots of sand on the ramp…be aware.
2. Five trailers using ramp, but only one ramp sticker…saw SPPD go through lot about 10:00AM. Summonses issued?

A private boat ramp (about 20 miles north) charges almost $300 for “seasonal” use.

After one year of experience, many dunks in the saltwater, here’s a ramp-pass idea that is proven to survive. 1. Get you pass for $75 (before price goes up to $150) at Somers Point PW (across street from Josie Kellys/Gregory’s). 2. Take pass to Staples and make one or two color copies onto one sheet. 3. Have sheet laminated and cut passes out. 4. Install one copy of permit/pass onto trailer’s license plate bracket. (I learned the ramp pass is for ramp & parking lot use. It’s good for both ramps at Kennedy and Rt.52.) I got my pass copies and lamination done at UPS in Linwood for $3.

Here’s an answer to another question: Ramp Pass prices change (they increase) after a certain date. That date will be posted, soon.
