August Pool Party and Ice Cream Social! Well, it was a little cool and windy to get in the pool, but that didn't stop the ice cream! Wait, is this August??

Well, the weather didn't cooperate very well for our Community Fly-In/Drive-In but...we all had a good time anyway! The pancakes and sausage were fresh and hot thanks to EAA77 Dalton Airport and their crack team. A great group of Horizon Lakes Airpark owners volunteered their time helping set up, serve and break everything down when it was all over. A few classic cruisers showed up but the rain threat held many off. There were breaks in the weather, though. 37 people got an airplane ride; kids got their faces painted, and about 100 people dined on some fine pancakes and sausage. Oh, and did I mention the delicious coffee from Bridge Street Brewtique !?
It was worth all the work to bring this once-annual event back to life in hopes of starting another long streak for the next era.

The Fly-In is still happening! THIS Saturday, May 16th!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
FLYERS: Unicom 123.0, "Linden Price Traffic". RWY 09-27
Please, WATCH for the marshalers on the ramp to help you park! Transient aircraft parking will be in the center of the ramp and along the east ramp edge

DRIVERS/CRUISERS: Due to road construction 🚧🚧:
Silver Lake Rd going WEST into downtown Linden (Broad St) is CLOSED (at Ripley) before the turn into the airport! So...Find your way to downtown Linden and proceed EAST on Broad St/Silver Lake Rd to enter the airport drive on Horizon Lakes Blvd.
From the EAST side of Linden: Silver Lake Rd then Right onto Ripley Rd; Left onto Tickner; Left on High St just past the cemetery; Left onto Broad St/Silver Lake Rd.
From the WEST side of Linden: Shouldn't have any issues getting there but leaving you must go east then turn left on Ripley (north) or continue east towards Fenton for US 23, etc.

PARKING:
General Parking -- follow signs and marshalers. You'll be parking on grass.
Cruiser Parking -- follow parking signs then "CRUISE" signs and marshalers for your special area (grass) closer to the main ramp.
