Welcome to the Penobscot Off-Road Riders page.

Established on April 10, 2003, the Penobscot Off-Road Riders ATV Club’s purpose is to establish an ATV trail system while respecting landowner’s property, and encouraging the safe use of ATVs.

Some residents on Folsom Pond Rd. (the road from club house to windmills), have asked that we installed a speed limit sign.

20 miles per hour.

Folsom Pond Rd is a privately maintained Road. It was graded last week, and some riders feel the need to “drift” on the new surface.

Penobscot Off Road Riders will be wrapping up its Trail Work team soon.
Our Trail Team this year accomplished so much!
We started behind the 8 ball…… with the State DOT closing the Access Rd & Bridge.
Among our accomplishments were,
1) getting the DOT to reverse its decision.
2) the opening of Greywolf Trail.
3) reconnecting with the Burlington Club Trail on I81
4) regrading, fill and ditching on Porter Hill,
5) ditching and fill on the Phinney Farm trail
6) the Veterans Memorial Trail, laid out, and completed, reconnecting the short route to Lincoln.
These were completed along with our regular trail maintenance.
We started a list to Thank The individuals that helped make this possible, …….. it was just too lengthy.

Trail Master Paul is already working a list with new trails coming next year!

Trail Master Paul, says no rest for the weary!
Two new culverts in on the Greywolf trail today!
Paul says maintenance done now is that much less in spring!
Also Paul, excavator Dave, Corey, and Tom put in a full day today!

A huge thank you to everyone that came to today's 3rd annual chili 🌶️ cookoff! 1st place David (middle) , 2/3rd place tie was Tom & Les! We raised over $500 for the club today. An extra thanks to Travis who won our 50/50 & asked that the club put it in our equipment fund! It was also awesome to have Dwinal Pond 4-Seasons Club attend as well! ☺️ We also appreciated Heart of Maine Winery, Lincoln, Maine for the lovely sips 🍷! Also thank you to Chuck & Deb & Cynthia Harrison for all the help today! This wraps up our last event of the 2026 year, let us know what you'd like to attend next year for events! - event coordinator Shannon
