More progress on the Grey Wolf Trail today!
Thank You excavator Dave, Backhoe Dave & Tom!
We’ve got 300’ of ditching done, 30 yards of stone placed, diversion ditches, and 3 culverts set so far!
Another 33 yards of 4” stone/mix coming in tomorrow!
Just for reference, our “BIG” machine, which is really small! It has a 1/3 yard bucket, shuttling stone, that’s 99 trips, back & forth for 33 yards of material, the other machine has 1/4 yd bucket…… soooo more than 100 trips just on shuttles!
About 39 miles total!
These guys deserve a lot of credit beating their machines up in that muck!!

I posted this as a comment on a post but I feel it needs a dedicated post.

As President of the club, I have to say DO NOT rely on GPS apps. Get our map and definitely get ahold of the club or follow the club page for the most up to date info. BUT, remember we are people with lives not sitting by our computer or phone waiting for people to message the club. We aren't able to respond real time to every post. Do some planning ahead of time. Learn where you are going. It's pretty easy to get 20 miles out into the woods and have issues, who's going to help you? Maybe just you. Bring extra gas, fuses, a spare tire, tools etc.You might be your own rescue.

We met a bunch of machines today. Completely lost. They were using a GPS program that was not showing the closed trails. If you are using a GPS. Program to plan your ride, just be aware that it probably doesn't show the up to date trail status. I would strongly encourage people to contact the clubs or pick up a local club map for 2026. So many trails have changed.

Sadly we cannot navigate everyone personally to where they need to be! We've gotten over 25 messages. Maps are in local places. We're working on trails & busy! Old town trading post, Dysarts & Lincoln Powersports all have maps. I'm on my way to bring maps to Handi Stop in Lee & Working Hands Bakery! Sorry & safe riding this weekend!
