Aquarama 313 getting a bit of an update, LOL. The sides and deck have reached the end of being repaired and will now be replaced. Time takes its toll, when wood meets water, water wins on the end.
A new bottom was completed several years ago, when she sees the water she will be better than new.

With a heavy broken heart, I arrive at my shop today to find the last footprints of Lucy's in the dust. We said goodbye to our family dog and my faithful shop dog yesterday. 🐕 She was my alarm clock, lunch timer, doorbell, shop foreman, best friend, companion. A part of me is missing, 14 years of a wonderful life she had. She kept things around here ship shape, she kept track of the school of fish in our pond, she kept the birds out, she looked forward to lunch daily and always got special attention from all the visitors. We wore out many a stick and ball working off her energetic youth. As she got older she was most interested in the boat work and keeping track of my whereabouts. She kept me sane through all the ups and downs of my life. Working by my self lately was made so much better and easier with her by my side. She will be sorely missed, her spirit will live on as I know she is looking over my work from her place in heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend 🙏 💔

Building up the hull sides layer by layer for the Super Aquarama and checking the fit of my patterns for the 8 full length planks per side. Next will be cutting out the 16 individual 28 foot long planks and gluing them in place.

Aquarama 307 in for a complete rebuild. She was in pretty rough shape. All new bottom framing. New keel. New partial stem. An now we start construction of the new sides. Once the sides are done we will then complete the bottom.

Northwest Classic Boats, Inc., a premium restoration company, is in search of a wooden boat finisher and wood worker. Must have skills in sanding, staining, varnishing, and painting associated with finish. Should also have knowledge in wooden boat construction, wood working, and tools. Boat school/training is a plus. Basic toolbox and references required. The skilled applicant will be detail oriented, motivated and a self starter. Compensation will reflect experience.
